Goosebumps

Tamara Michalenko Terry

God is still performing miracles today. If you have not seen one lately, contact the principal or treasurer at a Seventh-day Adventist school.

One can get goosebumps hearing the miracle stories of how students were able to attend a Seventh-day Adventist school, especially when it seemed impossible.

Miranda’s* parents did not have much hope that she would be able to attend their local Seventh-day Adventist school as they could not afford it. But Miranda was determined. She completed the school application and was accepted, pending financial arrangements.

She told everyone she could of her plans, hopeful that it would work out. Her church family pledged a monthly amount for her tuition, but it was still not enough.

When she showed up for registration, Miranda was nervous. “What if it doesn’t work out financially?” she thought. Nevertheless, she completed the registration day process, leaving the financial station until last.

Not knowing what would happen, Miranda was shocked to learn an anonymous donor paid the balance of her account.

“Praise God,” she thought.

Miranda and her parents were deeply touched that someone they didn’t even know cared enough to help. It is a blessing she has never forgotten.

Today, Miranda is an anonymous donor for other students needing a little help.

It is something most of us can do as well. Whether it is a one-time gift or a monthly pledge, your donation could be the miracle someone needs to stay in school next term.

If you don’t have a Seventh-day Adventist school near you, email education@txsda.org for ideas. Our Texas family has many students needing financial assistance to continue their Seventh-day Adventist education.

Will you be someone’s miracle?
