Beaumont Church | Yard Sale for Church Expense
Jeanne Kilbourn
One of the members of the Beaumont Seventh-day Adventist Church in Beaumont, Texas, desired to sell her estate items in a yard sale with the proceeds donated for church expense.
Dawn and Bill Pike worked tirelessly to pack up the stuff and take it to their house to sell since it was on a well-traveled highway in Silsbee, Texas.
Other church members became involved by donating their items, cleaning the church of a lot of unused items that had been sitting around for years, and helping to set up the yard sale, all with a 108-degree heat index.
God really blessed the event as many people came in to check things out even before all the items has been set up for sale. Days before the slated first day, people were stopping by to see if the sale was open. They were not turned away. When all was said and done, the yard sale raised nearly $1,700. We love you, “Mama” Jo Anderson. God is surely good.
