Sabbath School

Welcome to Sabbath School!

Sabbath School is a special time for members, visitors, and friends to study the Word of God. Each week ideas, experiences, and perspectives are shared in Sabbath school classes across Texas and the world.

Sabbath school has been an indispensable arm of the Seventh-day Adventist Church since its introduction in Rochester New York in 1853. Sabbath school grew so rapidly that by the 1930s around 85 percent of the church membership accepted the Advent message through the Sabbath school department.

The Sabbath school quarterly provides basic material for weekly study, where important biblical themes are addressed. Topics change four times a year (divided into 13-week blocks). Different age groups including youth and children also have themed lessons. These studies can be found at www.SSNet.org and www.SabbathSchoolU.org for collegiate and young adults. Discussions are available online, and recordings can be found at www.HopeSS.HopeTV.org.
